I've the feeling the the EFI 'bios' of this device is causing the problem. Booting ends with a blinking icon at he upper left corner. I can see that somehow a device called "Windows Boot Manager" is now part of the EFI Boot Sources. So in the end the whole procedure worked, and the image was applied to my EFI/GPT partitioned harddisk. The unattend (which is 3 (used WillShowUI=true for this)). I followed all instructions (apart from the 2008 R2 hotfixes -)). With the mentioned article from this Forum on getting things to work with 2008 R2 I was able to continue my stuggle.
